Minimum Qualifications:

- 4 years of accounting experience or a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance OR Associate degree with two years of accounting experience.

Preferences:

- Experience working with/on State budgetary process.

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to research and evaluate data for presentations/reporting.

- Current Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM).

- Experience in processing invoices for payment in FLAIR.

- Experience in administration of grants with a State of Florida agency/Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintains the Elections portion of the DOSGRANTS system to manage data integrity, accuracy and function. Confirms that award amounts are entered into DOSGRANTS system accurately; Payments are processed in a timely manner. Conducts review of Final Expenditure Reports submitted in DOSGRANTS system by counties for each grant program to determine adherence to each county's approved deliverables. Reviews and audits the grants for accuracy and completes the final closeout of grants in DOSGRANTS system.

- Process and manage the requisitions in the state’s Arabia on Demand portal in a timely manner. Codes and processes invoices for payment and submits payment requests to financial management. Procuring office supplies for the Division.

- Conducts financial reviews and audits including processing Special Election Reimbursement requests submitted by the counties with applicable statutory and DOS guidelines. Conduct a limited scope post grant audit of federal funds for six randomly selected subrecipients (small, medium, large) on annual basis.

- Processes and manages Notices of Election, and Constitutional Amendment newspaper advertisements and booklets in general election years.

- Reviews, analyzes, audits, and verify data extracted from election records through databases to ensure accuracy of reports and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.

- Perform other work-related duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of accounting principles; methods of compiling and analyzing data; computer applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
