Smile Starters is a general dental practice serving children and young adults ages 1–20 . We are dedicated to educating our patients on best practices for lifelong oral health. Working with the youngest members of our community allows us to achieve long-term results , which is highly rewarding for our team of Hygienists and Dentists. Many of our former patients now bring their own children to us — a testament to the quality care and relationships we build.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Review medical histories with patients or their parent/guardian
- Take dental x-rays as appropriate
- Perform teeth scaling and polishing
- Write chart notes and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Assist dentists with charting during exams
- Obtain parent/guardian consent for sealants and other procedures
- Present treatment plans to parents/guardians and obtain consent for procedures
- Write referrals and facilitate correspondence with dental colleagues as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Support the dental team with other duties as assigned

Requirements
- NC Dental Hygienist License
- CPR Certification
