Lift Truck Battery Changer - 1st Shift
Position Overview
Join the team at Shaw Industries! We're looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals to help maintain lift truck batteries and keep our operation running smoothly.
This position is located and works out of Cypress, CA.
$22.33 Per Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6am - 2:30 pm
What You'll Do
- Change batteries on lift trucks throughout the shift
- Monitor water levels and perform routine battery maintenance
- Operate battery-changing equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on charging equipment
- Enter battery change information into the computer system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support warehouse and maintenance teams as needed
- Follow all attendance, safety, and operational requirements
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to safety and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workplace
Physical Requirements
- Stand, sit, and work on a lift truck throughout the shift
- Frequently mount and dismount equipment
- Guide and handle lift truck batteries during battery changes
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently during the shift
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
