Shear Operator | Sunday - Thursday
Position Overview
This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am.
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for operating the shear machine.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet's finish
- Monitor the lint house for proper operation
- Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides
- Must fill in as technician as needed
Non-Essential Duties:
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stooр
- Close vision and good hearing required
- Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
- Must participate in group stretching prior to shift
Other Requirements: Must be applicable to all JHA's

- This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems, and potential problems encountered while performing the job
