Tax Associate

With offices throughout the United States and private equity backing, Prosperity is seeking an energetic tax professional to support our fast-growing business. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, superb accounting skills, budding leadership qualities and excellent communication and client service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with a wide variety of company clients, from early-stage, fast-growth companies to high net worth families;

- Participate in accounting and tax projects;

- Prepare business, individual and trust income tax returns;

- Research and analyze complex tax issues;

- Assist with complex merger and acquisition transactions;

- Respond to routine tax notices;

- Be able to multi-task, respond to demanding client needs and thrive in a deadline-driven industry.

Qualifications:

- Accounting Degree from an accredited four-year university;

- CPA designation or working to obtain CPA qualification;

- Prior accounting experience via full-time employment. A strong interest in taxation is important;

- Proven understanding of transactional accounting and entries and the ability to draft GAAP-based financial reports;

- Proficient in accounting/tax software programs such as Quickbooks, Intacct, Prosystem FX, and/or CCH Axcess is strongly preferred;

- Success in prior work experience with the ability to self-manage & prioritize assignments and client interface;

- A strong work ethic combined with a positive, collaborative attitude;

- Self-motivated and comfortable excelling in both solo and team driven environments;

- Effective verbal and written communication skills;

- Availability to work in the office at least 2 days per week.

Annual Salary Range $75,000 — $90,000 USD
