Reporting to the Clinical Information Systems Training Manager, the Clinical Information Systems Training Supervisor will champion and contribute to the creation of best-in-class learning opportunities and operational programs that build capabilities and knowledge for all providers and staff using Epic Systems applications and related technologies to further the missions of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
The Clinical Information Systems Training Supervisor will be responsible for managing trainers, managing projects, supervising daily activities of Epic users, development and delivery of all Epic training curriculum, environments, and classes for all Epic systems. This position will require establishing strong collaborative partnerships with business leaders and subject matter experts to assess performance needs and provide feedback to enhance organization performance. Interacts professionally, effectively, and collaboratively with leadership, faculty, peers and staff.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles/theories of adult learning and competency-based education.
- Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to be self-directed with strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

Experience:
- Five [5] years of supervisory experience in a clinical or clinical business experience. OR an equivalent combination of comparable skills, education, training and/or experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Information Management or Systems, Health Administration, Arts or Sciences. Comparable experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
