About this role
Seekr is growing its presence in Austin, and we're looking for an Office Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our new space. You'll be responsible for the facilities, vendors, and programs that keep the office running smoothly and make people want to come in. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes building things from the ground up and takes pride in a workplace that is organized, welcoming, and well run.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Run daily office operations and serve as the main contact for building management and facilities vendors.
- Support the setup and opening of the new Austin office.
- Acts as the go-to resource and subject-matter authority for the Austin office on space logistics and office norms, independently fielding and resolving employee questions.
- Own kitchen management, snack and lunch program, and catering for meetings and events.
- Own management of office supplies and equipment.
- Support office mail and shipping needs, in partnership with the Front Desk Coordinator.
- Manage office budgets, purchasing, and invoicing with Finance.
- Own workplace safety, emergency procedures, and security compliance in close partnership with Security.
- Support new hire onboarding, on-site events, and employee engagement related initiatives and projects.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- 3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or facilities coordination, preferably at a fast-growing technology company.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and office budgets.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-minded, proactive approach.
- Comfort working independently and taking ownership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and comfort learning new tools such as expense, procurement, and facilities management systems.
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
- Ability to work onsite in Austin full-time.
- Ability to lift/move light packages and supplies (up to ~25 lbs)
- Ability to move throughout office facility to escort guests and vendors and manage kitchen/supply areas
Qualifications and Skills Desired
- Experience opening a new office or supporting an office move or buildout.
- Experience working alongside security or compliance teams in a government-facing or regulated environment.
- Event planning experience, from small team gatherings to larger company or customer events.
