Responsibilities

- Develop and Test Software: Write, test, and debug high-quality code for new features and improvements.
- Collaborate on Design and Architecture: Participate in technical discussions, contribute to design decisions, and work closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Support and Enhance Development Tools: Assist in maintaining and improving our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
- Contribute to Project Planning: Help gather requirements, define technical specifications, and create test plans with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively learn new technologies, share knowledge, and explore innovative solutions to technical challenges and processes.

Qualifications

- Actively enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
- A graduation date after the co-op term ends.
- Available for a 4 OR 8 month (January - April 2027 OR January - August 2027) c o-op work term for 40 hours per week
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the co-op term, without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work in our Toronto office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Customer empathy and a real interest in customer insight. You're drawn to understanding people, not just data points, and you can evaluate a product through the eyes of someone very different from you.
- AI fluency, with healthy skepticism. Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and agentic coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor) to analyze data, build prototypes, and dashboards, plus the instinct to check the output rather than take it at face value.
- Programming fundamentals. Experience in one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, with a solid understanding of core data structures and coding concepts. Familiarity with git, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), or frameworks like React is a plus.
- Problem-solving and debugging. You approach challenges with a structured mindset, break down ambiguous problems, and know when to ask for help.
- Ownership and collaboration. You take your projects from start to finish, communicate progress clearly, and work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Growth mindset. You're eager to learn new technologies and tools, and you look for ways to keep improving your work.

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
