About this role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer for the Incoming Quality area at our Ford vehicle assembly plant. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring the quality performance of parts suppliers, using statistical tools and problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement, with the goal of ensuring zero-defect parts and a positive impact on both the plant and the end customer.
Must Have Skills
- Knowledge of applied statistics, including Six Sigma methodology.
- Proficiency in problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, A3, etc.).
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
- Strong presentation skills in both Spanish and English.
- Data analysis capability for decision-making.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Prior experience working with automotive suppliers or Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE).
- Knowledge of forecasting/statistical modeling tools or correlation of critical characteristics with product performance.
- Experience managing quality campaigns (recalls) and inventories.
- Knowledge of automotive product design and engineering processes.
- Negotiation skills.
Education Preference
Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field).

- Management of quality campaigns and inventories.
- Advanced executive presentation skills.
- Supplier management and development, and its connection to manufacturing.
- Understanding of the connection between product design, engineering, and manufacturing.

- Negotiation and influencing skills with internal (Design) and external (suppliers) stakeholders.
