Showcase Dance Studio is seeking an enthusiastic Parent & Me Dance Instructor to lead our 4-week mini sessions for children ages 15 months–4 years and their caregivers.

Instructor Career & Growth Path

Starting pay is determined using our structured framework, which considers verifiable teaching experience, training, and alignment with current studio needs. Instructors who are interested in additional opportunities may have the ability to grow into other teaching, private lesson, choreography, or studio roles as opportunities become available.

We’re Looking for Someone Who

- Genuinely enjoys working with children ages 15 months–4 years

- Is warm, energetic, patient, and encouraging

- Is comfortable teaching with parents and caregivers participating in the classroom

- Understands that toddlers are wonderfully unpredictable and can confidently adjust when an activity doesn't go exactly as planned

- Can keep young children engaged through movement, music, imagination, props, and play

- Creates a welcoming environment where both children and caregivers feel comfortable

- Is dependable, organized, and respects schedules

- Leads with kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm

- Can follow an established curriculum while bringing their own personality and energy to the classroom

Teaching Schedule

Our Parent & Me program is offered in 4-week mini sessions on Saturdays .

This position is ideal for an instructor who enjoys early childhood education and would like a smaller teaching commitment rather than a full traditional dance season.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Teaching engaging Parent & Me classes using our established curriculum and playlists

- Guiding caregivers in how to participate and assist their child throughout class

- Introducing young dancers to rhythm, counting, creative movement, and basic dance concepts

- Incorporating music, imagination, props, and age-appropriate activities

- Helping children practice classroom skills such as listening, taking turns, sharing, and following directions

- Creating a positive first experience with dance for both the child and caregiver

- Adapting activities as needed based on the energy and needs of each group

- Maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming, and encouraging classroom environment

- Communicating professionally with families and the Showcase Dance Studio team
