Company Description
Creature Comforts Animal Emergency Center was created to bring expert, compassionate emergency care closer to pets and families in Inman and across Upstate South Carolina. Our new, purpose-built hospital gives the veterinary team the tools to respond when every minute matters: an advanced surgical suite, digital radiology, ultrasound, oxygen therapy, and in-house bloodwork that supports faster answers and informed treatment decisions.
We are building a culture where doctors, technicians, client service professionals, and leaders communicate openly, step in for one another, and keep learning through the intensity of emergency medicine. Team members have the chance to influence workflows and traditions from the ground up rather than inherit a rigid playbook. Our hours of operation are:
- Tuesday to Thursday 6pm - 8am
- Friday to Monday 24 hours

Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We’re looking for:
- A veterinary technician with a minimum of 2+ year experience required . A licensed veterinary technician is highly preferred , however, it is not required.
- ER experience is highly preferred , however it is not required for more experienced applicants.
- Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Excellent client communication and medical record management skills.
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.
- Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
- Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
- Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
- Compassionate and calm team-player.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.
Additional Information
Pay Range: Starting between $23 - $32/hr, negotiable depending on experience level and license status.
