About this role
MassMedia is a fast-growing, integrated marketing and public relations agency headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with an office in Phoenix and Orange County, Calif. We are a results-driven, award-winning firm that values collaboration, accountability, innovation, and exceptional work.
MassMedia Marketing, Advertising & PR Las Vegas, NV, Orange County CA or Phoenix, AZ | Part-Time/Contract / Internship/Up to 24 hours per week
MassMedia is seeking a smart, creative and highly motivated Marketing & New Business Intern who wants hands-on experience learning how an integrated marketing agency builds its own brand, develops new business opportunities and pursues some of the region’s most exciting companies.
This is not an internship where you will spend your time doing administrative busy work.
You will work directly with MassMedia’s leadership team and gain exposure to agency marketing, business development, research, content development, prospecting and pitch preparation. You’ll see firsthand how an agency identifies ideal clients, builds relationships, develops opportunities and ultimately wins new business.
We are looking for someone who is curious, resourceful and eager to learn. You do not need previous agency experience. Initiative, strong communication skills and the ability to figure things out matter most.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Help create content that showcases MassMedia’s people, work, expertise, culture and client successes across LinkedIn, Instagram, email and other channels.
- Assist with developing agency marketing materials, presentations, case studies, credentials decks and award submissions.
- Help maintain MassMedia’s marketing and editorial calendar and identify opportunities to showcase agency expertise.
- Research industry trends and timely topics that can be turned into social content, thought leadership, articles, speaking topics and media opportunities.
- Support MassMedia events, including the Women’s Marketing Collective and other agency-hosted programs.
Help Build Our New Business Pipeline
- Research companies and brands that align with MassMedia’s ideal client profile.
- Identify key marketing executives, decision-makers and potential referral relationships within target organizations.
- Research prospective clients before introductory meetings and help prepare company, competitor and industry intelligence.
- Build and maintain prospect lists and assist with tracking outreach, follow-ups and opportunities within our CRM.
- Monitor company news, leadership changes, expansions, acquisitions, funding and other signals that could create opportunities for MassMedia.
- Help identify conferences, associations, networking opportunities and industry events where MassMedia should have a presence.
Support Pitches & Business Development
- Assist with new-business presentations, proposals, credentials materials and case studies.
- Research prospective clients, competitors, industries and market trends to help our team prepare for meetings and pitches.
- Help customize MassMedia's capabilities and relevant case studies for individual prospects.
- Participate in internal new-business meetings and, when appropriate, prospect meetings to learn how opportunities move from an initial conversation through proposal and close.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This internship is designed for someone who wants exposure to the business side of marketing and advertising, not just content creation.
You will learn:

- How an established agency markets its own brand while simultaneously marketing its clients.

WHO WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE
The right person is someone who sees a company mentioned in a meeting and immediately wants to know:
Who are they? How big are they? Who runs marketing? What are they doing now? Are they growing? Who is their agency? And could MassMedia help them?
You are naturally curious. You notice brands. You like researching companies and people. You enjoy connecting dots. And when you are given a project, you don't wait to be told every step, you dig in.
Most importantly, you are a HARD worker, very responsible and want to learn.
