Lead Line Cook - FT Evenings at Senior Living Community

We are seeking a Lead Line Cook who has a desire to grow into the Sous Chef role. Our kitchen prepares high- quality meals made from scratch in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards. To be a successful cook at The Grand at Spokane, you will bring a positive and inclusive attitude, excellent time organization and management skills, a willingness to learn from others, and the ability to teach less experienced cooks. Responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department

- Possess a complete understanding of all basic food production skills with the ability to perform these error-free in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrate passion for preparing and serving attractive, nutritious meals

- Manage ticket times and direct staff accordingly while cooking

Qualifications

- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.

- Experience and/or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups and short order cooking

- Safe food handling techniques are required

- Washington State Food Worker Card required

- Ability to read and understand recipes

- Work in a team environment

- Manage multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing.
