Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in electrical design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong in creating comprehensive design packages and be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and the ability to lead projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities

- Design most electrical systems independently using company standards, templates, and project-specific logic.
- Perform detailed load and voltage drop calculations.
- Participate in the layout and coordination of advanced electrical rooms and complex systems.
- Perform ComCheck lighting calculations for code compliance.
- Apply NEC and other codes fluently.
- Lead coordination and documentation on projects.
- Attend project meetings.
- Review shop drawings independently.
- Provide redlines, guidance, and training to Level 1 and 2 engineers.
- Help onboard junior team members and embrace the company culture.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6+ years of electrical design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with creating lighting, power, and systems design packages.
- Experience with developer work, ground-up projects, and multifamily buildings.
- Proficient in electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, panel scheduling, and distribution system design across various building types.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills and time management.
- Professional communication skills.
- EIT or PE certification is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington D.C., DC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
