Basic Job Functions:
Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, effective communicator to join our team. The Quality Supervisor's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and fostering a culture of quality at their operating location.
- Engage team and improve Safety of all NTS operations.
- Directly responsible for day-to-day quality activities at their division.
- Directly responsible for building, coaching and mentoring the quality team at their division.
- Tracking and reporting on quality performance, back charges, re-work, etc for all departments.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures internally and externally, Lead, train, coach, and develop Quality Department personnel on quality requirements, procedures,
- Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations.
This position will be in Crawfordsville, IN but may require occasional travel to other production facilities, job sites, vendors/suppliers, etc. on an as required basis.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
- Experience with AISC certifications and related audit processes
- Experience in customer interactions, audits, and field issue resolution
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1
- Knowledge of NDT Methods such as UT, MT, and VT
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
