Position Summary

The 6-month Co-op program at Bristol Myers Squibb offers an exceptional career experience at our state-of-the-art Biologics facility in Devens, MA. Join us and be part of the next generation of medicine!

The program includes formal and informal networking, development, and mentorship of participants with a focus on building and advancing professional skills in the BioPharma industry.

Candidates will be matched with projects based on skills and interests to support projects and continuous improvement initiatives at the Devens Campus.  Projects are associated with functional areas including:

- Supply Chain: Supply Planning, Material Planning, Scheduling

- Operation Excellence (OpEx): Lean Six Sigma, Digitization, Knowledge Management

All projects will be defined with key deliverables and provide candidates with opportunities to develop new skills and work directly on key aspects of the business. Example deliverables include process optimization, documentation and knowledge management updates, workflow or tool development, and continuous improvement.

This full-time six-month co-op program will take place January through July of 2027.  Please ensure that you can

support a full-time onsite work schedule (40 hours per week, 5 days per week M-F) for these positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, analyze, and present operational or planning data to support problem-solving and process improvement initiatives

- Apply Lean tools (e.g., process mapping, SIPOC, value stream mapping, Pareto analysis, root cause analysis) to evaluate current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities

- Identify, develop, and pilot AI-driven or automation solutions (e.g., PowerBI, PowerAutomate, AI/Claude tools) to reduce manual effort and improve decision-making

- Support Tier management, visual management, and/or Gemba walk activities, depending on project assignment

- Develop dashboards, standard work documentation, and training materials to support adoption and sustainability of process improvements

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, and OpEx teams

Qualifications & Experience

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (third-year or above) or Master's program in Engineering, Science, Business, Computer Science, Operational Excellence, Project Management, or a related field

- Ability to work on-site at the Devens, MA facility for the duration of the co-op assignment

- Demonstrated interest in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with data collection, analysis, and modeling

- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Claude Code) and/or automation platforms (PowerBI, PowerAutomate) is a plus

- Knowledge of SharePoint, Office 365, or SAP is a plus

- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and gather requirements independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Overview:
$24.00 - $45.00

Pay for this internship/co‑op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location.

Interns and co‑op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time‑bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co‑op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
