About this role
Dynamic Transit is seeking a career-minded Diesel Mechanic to work in our Hazelwood shop. This person would be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of class 8 tractor tailers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on X15 engines, clutches, transmissions, air conditioning and electrical systems, brake systems, and APUs
- Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have own tools
- Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Technical problem-solving skills
- Experience with engine replacements is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for duration of a work shift)
- High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired.
- ASE Certification preferred but not required
