OVERVIEW
As a Human Resources (HR) Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, inclusive of employee relations and talent acquisition. This is a hands-on role that directly impacts the team delivering high-energy guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the hospitality and restaurant industries is a plus. The HR Generalist is passionate about getting the details right, anticipating team members and management needs, and advancing the Level99 brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, conducting interviews, active sourcing, and facilitating the onboarding process. Requisitions range from G&A roles to operational roles at our hospitality-focused entertainment venues.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand needs and contribute to the development of effective hiring strategies.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to team members and management, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations when necessary, and ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
- HR Policies and Compliance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.
- Performance Management:
- Support performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
- Provide guidance to managers on effective performance management and employee development.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Assist in the payroll process, including the upkeep for information within our UKG platform.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Maintain a positive , upbeat, pro-active attitude and deliberately inspire the same in co-workers.
- Working on special projects, and other duties, as assigned.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- 8+ years of Human Resources experience; with experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience with recruitment, including active sourcing.
- Experience with employee relations - especially understanding the dynamics of the service industry.
- Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members as an ambassador of the Level99 brand.
- Must be able to navigate confidential matters with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Requires strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to travel periodically as required for staffing and operations in multiple venues.
- A reliable car, current driver's license and safe driving record are required.
OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or a related business field, or equivalent experience required
- Multi-state knowledge and experience
- Experience with the UKG HRIS
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems
- Familiarity with Human Resources law and compliance
- Knowledge of a second language, particularly Portuguese or Spanish, a plus
