Job Title: Remote Electronic Medical Record Abstraction Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Electronic Medical Record Abstraction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately abstracting information from electronic medical records into the electronic data capture tool, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electronic medical record abstraction services accurately and efficiently.
- Abstract information from electronic medical records into the electronic data capture tool.
- Complete quality and accuracy testing as requested in a timely manner.
- Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.
Essential Skills
- Oncology and data abstraction experience.
- Active RN license with oncology RN experience.
- Proficiency in electronic medical chart data abstraction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- High-speed internet access.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OCN preferred.
- Experience navigating through EHR databases.
- Clinical or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Experience in performing chart abstractions in an oncology setting.
- Academic or research experience is helpful.
- Previous data analysis experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with a work schedule from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST. The role requires a stable internet connection to perform tasks efficiently.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of The Woodlands, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
