Taco John's of Alexandria is looking for an experienced, motivated Assistant Manager who enjoys leading people, being part of a strong team, creating a positive workplace, and taking ownership of restaurant operations.
This is an important leadership position within our restaurant. Our Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager but must also be prepared to run the show when the General Manager is not there . We're looking for someone who can lead the team, make decisions, solve problems, maintain standards, and keep the restaurant operating at a high level.

What You'll Do
As Assistant Manager, you'll help lead the restaurant's daily operations and serve as a key member of the management team.
Responsibilities include:

- Taking full leadership of the restaurant when the General Manager is not present

- Leading shifts and keeping the team focused, productive, and accountable

- Being a strong leader and a great teammate

- Building and maintaining a positive team culture

- Training, coaching, and developing employees

- Helping recruit and retain great team members

- Managing front- and back-of-house operations

- Delivering excellent guest service

- Maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and food safety

- Helping manage labor, food costs, inventory, and waste

- Identifying problems and taking action to correct them

- Developing supervisors and future restaurant leaders

- Working closely with the General Manager and above-store leadership to improve restaurant performance

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or GED

- Proven Longevity in prior positions

- Restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred, especially in quick-service restaurants

- Proven ability to lead a team while also being willing to jump in and work alongside them

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- A dependable leader who is comfortable making decisions

- Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do

- Schedule flexibility, including availability to work days, as well as some nights and weekends

- Someone who is accountable to results

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Valid driver's license

- A strong employment history and demonstrated longevity with previous employers is highly valued
