Medical Informatics Program Coordinator (Policy/Regulatory)

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Informatics Program Coordinator-Policy-Bylaw-Reg, you will serve as a vital link between clinical operations and digital infrastructure. You will be responsible for guiding the review of System Policies, facility Bylaws, and Regulatory standards as they pertain to our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and integrated clinical technologies. By working closely with the System Director of Medical Informatics, you will champion the standardization of clinical workflows and ensure that all technology deployments align with organizational mandates and compliance requirements.

Every day you will manage the lifecycle of complex informatics projects, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed and project milestones remain on track. You will act as a primary resource for documentation accuracy, maintaining rigorous oversight of system policies to support provider-centered technology. Your daily routine will involve balancing administrative precision with clinical insight, coordinating efforts across departments to troubleshoot workflow issues and ensure that our EHR systems remain both innovative and fully compliant with healthcare regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in healthcare policy, clinical informatics, and regulatory affairs. You must possess exceptional organizational skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to project management and a deep understanding of how EHR standardization impacts daily clinical practice, ensuring that all policy and bylaw updates ultimately drive better patient outcomes and clinician satisfaction.

Essential Function:

- Align clinical workflows with organizational standards and policies while identifying potential project risks

- Coordinate operational readiness activities for EHR go-lives, upgrades, and system optimizations

- Serve as a primary communication conduit between regional and system-level stakeholders

- Gather clinician feedback to identify technology gaps and workflow improvement opportunities

- Triage, log, and route EHR design escalations to ensure timely resolution by appropriate teams

- Collaborate with clinical and IT leadership to foster knowledge sharing and promote successful EHR adoption

Job Requirements

Required:

- Bachelors of Science in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical or health IT field or equivalent relevant education and/or experience in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or a related clinical or health IT field may be considered in lieu of Bachelors Degree.

- 1-3 years experience with large, diverse projects including planning, facilitating and implementation.

- 1-3 years Experience in Healthcare Policy or Regulatory space.

Preferred:

- Experience with informatics and/or Epic EHR is strongly preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of informatics experience
