Strategic Buying Services Analyst I

About the Role

Hybrid: 3 days onsite Warre, Michigan, 2 days remote.

As a Buying Services Analyst , you will play a role in supporting the buyer with sourcing and procurement initiatives that drive customer savings and operational efficiency.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and client teams, you will help ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are consistently met while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

- Support customer savings initiatives while ensuring contractual savings targets are achieved.

- Support buyers with cost-saving opportunities.

- Help analyze spend data, purchasing trends, and sourcing strategies to support informed business decisions.

- Support the buyer with developing recommendations that improve procurement processes, operational efficiency, and overall program performance.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to support strategic sourcing initiatives and business objectives.

- Participating in client meetings and business reviews to provide insights, recommendations, and program updates.

- Supporting departmental planning by contributing to business priorities, operational goals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Monitoring performance metrics and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.

- Ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal quality standards.

- Promoting best practices that foster collaboration, operational excellence, and high-performing teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or a related analytical role.

- It would be helpful to have experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier evaluations.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to internal and client stakeholders.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience working with service level agreements (SLAs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other reporting and analytical tools.

- Ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams while maintaining a strong customer focus.
