Position Summary:

Leader in the Global Sourcing department.  Provides direction and develops technical associates to support the overall quality control, assurance, and management for the global Sourcing department. The team will help support certification alignment to goods received from suppliers, support Supplier Development Engineers in data analytics and tactical tasks in collaboration with them, the specialists, engineering, Receiving and Inspection and other sourcing technical associates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Advises and leads team in providing technical support to the supplier development engineers in identifying trends and leading indicators with respect to quality performance and improvements, as well as ensuring documentation and compliance control continues and improves within goods received.
- As the leader of the Sourcing technicians and certification associates this role is responsible to track, mitigate and continuously improve the tactical approach of quality assurance for our direct and indirect suppliers.
- Manages and own the supplier traceability process and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Works hand in hand with Sourcing Quality Assurance Manager, Sourcing Quality Control Supervisor, and consulting Sourcing Development Engineers to support traceability, SAP support, sorting, deviation management, SCAR (Supplier Correct Action Report) management and compliance non-conformances.
- Drive continuous improvements by planning and implementing changes that meet departmental objectives.
- Conduct departmental meetings that focus on leading indicators, data management, efficiency improvement projects and overall quality culture within the Sourcing department.
- Develop technical capabilities and leadership competencies of the group. Key aspects include quality culture, accountability, and process improvement.
- Establish objectives and departmental goals; evaluate performance and development progress of direct reports.
- As a leader you are expected to know, enforce and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; technical field such as engineering is preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in a technical field with proven abilities in leadership including encouraging others, influencing and having tough conversations. Direct people leadership experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge: Manages multiple projects or assignments simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication. Excellent computer and typical office software skills. Advance problem-solving skills with significant decision-making abilities. Quality Assurance and/or Control experience preferred.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

- Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
- Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
