Position Summary

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a leading aerospace company in Little Rock, Arkansas , specializing in the design and manufacture of military aircraft, business jets, and space systems.

We are seeking experienced Cabinet Fabricators to join a skilled team working in a complex, fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

The Cabinet Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and installing aircraft cabinetry and cabinet components using established construction techniques, engineering data, company standards, and work instructions. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet demanding quality and production standards.

Essential Functions

- Consistently perform and encourage peers to meet or exceed established standards for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Interpret and work from 2D/3D engineering data, company standards, work instructions, and industrial definitions to fabricate aircraft cabinet components.
- Fabricate cabinet components and assemblies according to engineering specifications and quality requirements.
- Mentor and assist co-workers or contractors in developing technical skills, knowledge, and work performance through positive leadership and example.
- Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Embrace and promote ACE values and contribute to a work environment focused on operational excellence.
- Perform quality inspections and checks, including both self-checks and peer checks, to ensure fabricated components meet requirements.
- Select appropriate materials from stock and maintain proper material identification and traceability.
- Communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, team leads, management, engineering, and other departments.
- Use technical expertise to identify potential issues and minimize lost time, scrap, and unnecessary rework.
- Perform timely and accurate rework on aircraft while maintaining awareness of aircraft delivery schedules.
- Properly handle finished, plated, painted, and other components in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Lead and train other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by the team lead.
- Follow all applicable OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment as required.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft cabinetry, carpentry, woodworking, or related fabrication.
- Demonstrated proficiency with minimal to no rework in the following areas: Sub-assembly
- Mortise and tenon construction; must be qualified to perform complex carcass assemblies
- Veneer and laminate application
- Final assembly and cabinet installation

- Experience working with custom inlays, mirrors, and exotic materials/assemblies.
- Ability to set up and operate standard woodworking, fabrication, and assembly equipment and tools.
- Strong understanding of mathematics and geometry, including the ability to work with both metric and imperial units of measurement.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering data, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of production schedules, budgets, and the importance of meeting project objectives.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity required to perform detailed work on high-value aircraft components while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work with adhesives, solvents, and other industrial chemicals.
- Must be able to work safely around industrial chemicals and materials.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
