HSE TRAINING MANAGER

We are currently seeking an HSE Training Manager to lead the build-out, management, and delivery of health, safety, and environmental training programs across Nox Group. This role partners closely with Site HSE, Operations and Learning & Development to design and implement training curricula, manages the execution of HSE training programs on job sites company-wide, and oversees a team of HSE personnel to ensure consistent, high-quality safety training across all project locations

Responsibilities

- Supervise the build-out, design, and continuous improvement of HSE training programs that are up to Nox Group’s standards.

- Partner with the Learning & Development (L&D) team to develop training content, materials, and delivery methods that align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

- Manage the scheduling, coordination, and execution of HSE training programs on job sites across all active projects.

- Ensure HSE processes and procedures are well documented and align with training practices.

- Oversee and provide direction to HSE personnel designated to train, ensuring consistent training delivery, quality, and adherence to company HSE standards.

- Work with L&D and utilize the versatility matrix to track completion, certifications, and renewal requirements for all employees.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement based on incident trends, audit findings, and field feedback.

- Coordinate with project and site leadership to identify training needs and ensure timely delivery of required HSE training.

- Ensure all training programs comply with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements.

- Manage new-hire HSE orientation programs across the enterprise.

- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in the applicable learning management system(s).

- Regularly report on training program status, participation, and outcomes to HSE and Nox Group leadership.

- Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging training technologies to continuously improve program delivery.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Prefer a minimum of 5 years of construction HSE experience, including experience in a training, instructional design, or curriculum development role.

- Experience developing and delivering HSE training programs in a construction environment.

- Experience managing or leading a team of trainers or training coordinators.

- Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methods.

- Thorough understanding of construction work practices and craft activities (i.e.: electrical, welding, crane and equipment operation, rigging, etc.).

- Experience partnering with Learning & Development teams to build and roll out training curricula.

- Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable HSE regulations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop training materials and facilitate training sessions.

- Ability to travel to job sites across operating regions as needed.

Education & Certifications

- CHST, OHST, ASP (BCSP), CSD (NASP), or BS of OSH

- On path to obtain CSP or SMS (BCSP), or MSP (NASP)

- Certified trainer credential(s) preferred (e.g., OSHA Outreach Trainer – 10/30-Hour, Authorized OSHA Instructor)

- Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of OSHA standards and any other applicable regulations

- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

- Potentially lift up to 50 pounds

- Potentially need to do repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing
