Position Summary

Corbins LLC is seeking an experienced Laborer to join our field workforce. This role is responsible for the layout and installation of rack and hanger systems, and related structural components on commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate reads blueprints fluently, works efficiently and safely with hand and power tools, and takes pride in producing plumb, square, and code-compliant work.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, wall types, and framing schedules to lay out rack and hanger systems accurately
- Install rack and hanger system per plans and specifications.
- Coordinate wall layout with MEP trades to accommodate rough-in penetrations, backing, and in-wall utilities
- Measure, cut, and fit materials using levels, lasers, squares, and standard carpentry tools with precision
- Read and apply fire-rating and acoustic wall assembly requirements (UL listings, STC ratings) where applicable
- Maintain accurate as-built notes and flag discrepancies between drawings and field conditions
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards in accordance with jobsite safety plans
- Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to maintain project schedule
- Operate power tools and small equipment safely and maintain in good working order

Qualifications

**Required:**
- 3+ years of experience on commercial construction projects
- Ability to read blueprints, wall sections, and framing details independently
- Working knowledge of metal framing systems, fire-rated assemblies, and applicable building codes
- Proficiency with standard carpentry hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately measure and lay out work using tape measures, lasers, and levels
- Basic math skills (fractions, angles, square footage)
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to varying jobsites as assigned

**Preferred:**
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with fire-rated/UL-listed wall assemblies and acoustic (STC-rated) partitions
- Prior experience on data center, healthcare, or similar large commercial builds
