We are seeking a  Senior Manager, Project Management-Power Delivery to lead and grow our Project Management Organization within the Grid Engineering & Analytics team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of project managers, strengthening project delivery practices, driving portfolio performance, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering and consulting projects serving utility clients nationwide.

You will work closely with engineering leaders, project managers, business development professionals, clients, and corporate support functions to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and profitably while supporting the continued growth of our organization. The ideal candidate combines strong project delivery expertise, people leadership, and business acumen, and measures success by how well the project managers around them perform.

What You Will Be Doing

- Lead and manage the Grid Engineering Project Management Organization, providing leadership, coaching, and professional development to a team of project managers and engineers supporting power delivery projects across multiple disciplines.
- Establish and maintain engineering project management standards, governance processes, tools, and best practices that promote consistent project execution and predictable delivery outcomes.
- Own portfolio performance and the reporting behind it: track schedule, budget, profitability, earned value, change orders, backlog, and client satisfaction across the portfolio, surface the delivery risks and trends the numbers point to, and produce the dashboards and forecasts leadership plans against.
- Partner with engineering managers and technical leaders to sequence project priorities and put the right project manager on each project and pursuit, escalating the resource conflicts that cannot be solved inside the portfolio.
- Provide executive oversight for high-profile, high-risk, or strategically important engineering projects and pursuits, stepping in personally when one is in trouble.
- Support project managers in contract administration, scope management, change management, financial forecasting, risk mitigation, and client communications.
- Partner with business development on the technical and commercial substance of a pursuit: project approach, execution plan, schedule and cost basis, risk assessment, and capture strategy.
- Lead project manager recruiting, onboarding, training, succession planning, and performance management activities to ensure the organization maintains a strong project leadership pipeline.
- Work with the Delivery Manager and with finance, contracts, legal, and quality to fix the project execution processes that slow delivery down, bringing the pattern rather than the one-off ticket.
- Champion company safety, quality, compliance, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Project Management Organization.

What You Need to Have (Minimum Qualifications)

- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 8+ years of experience delivering projects for electric utilities, EPC firms, engineering consulting organizations, or related infrastructure industries.
- 5+ years of experience leading project managers, project delivery teams, or project management organizations.
- Demonstrated experience managing project portfolios consisting of multiple concurrent projects, clients, and stakeholder groups.
- Deep working knowledge of project management methodology, project controls, and risk management, plus hands-on experience managing project financial performance including revenue forecasting, profitability, earned value, change management, and budget control.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to navigate complex business environments and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, project reviews, leadership meetings, conferences, recruiting activities, and organizational planning sessions.

What We'd Like You to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

- Experience leading project management organizations supporting transmission, distribution, substations, protection and controls, grid modernization, renewable interconnection, or utility infrastructure programs.
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, or strategically significant utility projects and portfolios.
- Strong understanding of consulting business operations, including utilization, backlog management, forecasting, staffing strategies, and financial performance metrics.
- Knowledge of engineering project lifecycles including project setup, execution, financial management, change order administration, risk management, and project closeout.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Cobra, Power BI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable project management and reporting platforms.
- Track record of implementing project management standards, governance frameworks, project controls processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting proposal development, capture planning, pursuit management, and strategic business development efforts.
- PMP certification, MBA, or other relevant project management, engineering, or business leadership credential.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is :
$98,614.00 - $167,644.00
