Special Access Program (SAP) Management Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Special Access Program (SAP) Management Analyst with experience supporting controlled-access programs and DoD acquisition or headquarters staff activities. This role operates within a senior-level DoD organization supporting military space capability development and space-control activities.
The position combines Special Access Program management with action officer and program analyst responsibilities. Approximately half of the role focuses on SAP access and program-management activities, while the remainder supports technical, acquisition, and decision-analysis work across space-related programs and capabilities.
We are looking for someone who can work comfortably in both environments: disciplined management of controlled-access activities and independent analytical support to senior Government decision makers. The strongest candidates will have hands-on experience with JADE and SIC as well as experience working acquisition, programmatic, or capability issues in a headquarters environment.
This is an onsite, face-to-face position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Special Access Program management, access coordination, and related controlled-access activities using JADE, SIC, and associated processes.
- Maintain accurate access information, coordinate discrepancies or required actions, and support disciplined execution of SAP management requirements.
- Support military space capability development, acquisition, and space-control program activities.
- Serve in an action officer or program analyst capacity on technical, acquisition, policy, and programmatic issues.
- Develop and coordinate reports, briefings, read-aheads, information or policy papers, and action packages for senior Government officials.
- Work issues from initial tasking through coordination and resolution across Government, acquisition, technical, security, and operational organizations.
- Analyze program status, requirements, acquisition activities, dependencies, risks, and other issues affecting space capabilities.
- Support senior leadership decision making by integrating technical, programmatic, acquisition, and security information into clear recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on experience supporting DoD Special Access Programs.
- Experience using JADE and SIC for controlled-access or SAP management activities.
- Experience supporting military space capability development, acquisition, space control, or closely related mission areas.
- Experience serving in an action officer, program analyst, acquisition, or comparable staff role within OSD, Joint Staff, a Military Service, Defense Agency, or similar headquarters environment.
- Knowledge of the DoD Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) and either JCIDS or PPBE processes.
- Strong written communication, coordination, organization, and analytical skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- US Citizen.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access and ability to obtain and maintain required program accesses.
Preferred Experience
- Experience combining SAP management responsibilities with acquisition, program-analysis, or action-officer duties.
- Experience supporting space-control programs or portfolios.
- Experience with military space development, acquisition, requirements, or capability portfolio management.
- Experience working directly with GO/FO/SES or other senior Government officials.
- Experience developing executive-level decision packages, briefings, read-aheads, or staff actions.
- Experience coordinating complex actions across security, acquisition, technical, operational, and headquarters organizations.
