Job Title: Architectural Designer Job Description
We are seeking an Architectural Designer to support a growing portfolio of awarded projects spanning institutional, federal, healthcare, education, industrial, and public-sector facilities. This role involves direct contribution to Revit-based architectural production, construction documentation, detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination. The focus is on project execution and production support rather than purely conceptual design.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to Revit-based architectural production and construction documentation.
- Develop drawing sets, incorporate markups, and coordinate design changes.
- Support project delivery from design development through construction documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to resolve project issues and maintain schedules.
- Produce architectural construction documents with advanced proficiency in Revit.
- Incorporate redlines and maintain coordinated drawing sets during the construction document phase.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and support collaboration across disciplines.
Essential Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and ability to contribute immediately in a production environment.
- Strong experience in producing architectural construction documents.
- Proficiency in drawing production and detailing with the ability to incorporate redlines.
- Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Approximately 5-7 years of architectural design experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in architectural or A/E consulting environments.
- Exposure to multiple concurrent project types and clients.
- Experience in interior architecture or interior design.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience in federal, military, institutional, healthcare, laboratory, education, industrial, or public-sector projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Photoshop, rendering, or visualization.
- Experience supporting field investigations, shop drawing review, or construction administration activities.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a collaborative architectural and engineering consulting setting with a small office size of approximately 14 people. The role offers a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office, with flexibility for local employees to spend more time onsite. The office culture is historically laid-back while remaining accountable to deadlines, with flexible hours typically from 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.5:30 p.m.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.69/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
