About this role
Restaurant Manager – Two Eggs McDonough
Great Restaurant Career. Great Quality of Life. No Late Nights.
Two Eggs is looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team at our McDonough location.
We are not looking for someone who manages from the sidelines. We are looking for a true restaurant operator—someone who enjoys developing people, understands both the front and back of the house, takes ownership, solves problems, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump in wherever the team needs them.
Our McDonough restaurant has an especially important role in the future of Two Eggs. As we expand our brand through franchising, McDonough is being developed as our flagship restaurant and training location for future Two Eggs franchisees and their teams.
We're looking for an experienced leader who wants to help us make it great.
Why Two Eggs?
No late nights. We are a breakfast and lunch concept. Our restaurants are open:
• Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
• Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
We believe restaurant professionals can have successful careers without sacrificing their quality of life.
We also believe managers should be properly supported. Our managers are not expected to run shifts alone. Our leadership structure is designed so managers work alongside another manager or a strong Shift Leader.
Two Eggs is a family-owned company with hands-on, accessible ownership. We have high expectations and believe in accountability, but we also genuinely care about our people. We want to create an environment where good people can grow professionally, enjoy coming to work, and still have a life outside of the restaurant.
Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager will work closely with our General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the McDonough restaurant and maintain high standards of food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, consistency and operational execution.
This position requires a leader who is comfortable on both sides of the restaurant.
Strong kitchen experience is important. You should understand kitchen operations, be capable of training and developing cooks, and be willing and able to step onto the line and cook when business volume, staffing or operational needs require it.
You should be just as comfortable helping a cook through a busy breakfast rush as you are talking with guests in the dining room.
Most importantly, we want someone who can become a trusted and dependable member of our leadership team—someone who takes ownership, follows through and can be counted on.
Key Responsibilities
• Restaurant Operations & Shift Leadership: Take an active role in daily restaurant operations and ensure every shift meets Two Eggs standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, speed, organization and execution.
• Kitchen & BOH Leadership: Maintain a strong presence in the kitchen. Ensure food is prepared according to Two Eggs recipes, portions, presentation and quality standards. Train and develop cooks and be capable of stepping onto the line and cooking when needed.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead by example and help create a culture of teamwork, accountability, urgency and mutual respect. Coach, train and develop team members, managers and Shift Leaders.
• Guest Experience: Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant and ensure guests receive friendly, attentive and genuine Two Eggs hospitality. Respond to feedback and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
• Food Quality & Cost Control: Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, portion control and waste management while protecting food quality and consistency.
• Labor & Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and deployment of team members based on business needs while balancing labor management with excellent food and service.
• Financial Performance: Work with the General Manager to understand and improve restaurant performance, including sales, labor, food cost, waste, productivity and controllable expenses.
• Standards, Cleanliness & Food Safety: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, sanitation and food safety throughout the restaurant.
• Accountability & Problem Solving: Anticipate problems, make sound decisions, communicate clearly and follow through. Take ownership of the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable and step in wherever necessary to support the team.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2–3 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume, full-service environment.
• Strong working knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Solid kitchen experience and the ability to train cooks and assist on the cooking line when necessary.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate and hold team members accountable.
• Understanding of restaurant fundamentals including labor, food cost, inventory, ordering, waste control, scheduling, food safety and guest service.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and lead effectively during high-volume periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable learning and using restaurant technology and management systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• ServSafe Manager certification preferred. Candidates who are not currently certified must be willing to obtain required food-safety certifications.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position isn't simply completing a manager checklist. It means becoming someone your team and General Manager can depend on.
A successful Restaurant Manager will:
• Take ownership. Responsibilities can be delegated to you with confidence that they will be completed correctly and on time.
• Strengthen the kitchen. Develop cooks, improve consistency and execution, reinforce standards and lead from within the kitchen when necessary.
• Develop people. Help our managers, Shift Leaders and hourly team members become stronger, more knowledgeable and more accountable.
• Create consistency. Our guests should receive great food and hospitality regardless of which leadership team is running the restaurant.
• Understand the business. Look beyond today's shift and help improve labor, food cost, inventory, waste, productivity and overall restaurant performance.
• Be a true partner to the General Manager. Help create a leadership team where responsibility can be shared rather than carried by one person.
Come Grow With Us
Two Eggs is entering an exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for people who want to grow with us.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to do more than manage shifts. It's an opportunity to help strengthen a growing restaurant brand, develop people, influence how we operate and be part of building the standard that future Two Eggs restaurants will follow.
If you're an experienced restaurant leader who believes in great food, genuine hospitality, accountability, teamwork and leading from the front, we'd like to meet you.
