Job Summary:
The supervisor shall supervise, direct, implement and evaluate the maintenance, installation, and repair of all hospital systems and equipment. Main tasks include direct repair and maintenance of existing buildings, building systems and non-medical, IT or imaging equipment. Supervises work order and preventive maintenance scheduling, oversees staffing schedules for in-house, and on-call staff, inspects and evaluates condition of owned and leased building structures, building systems and equipment, provides estimates cost for repairs, replacement, and installation of equipment, projects future repairs and department equipment needs for the operating and capital budget process, develops, reviews and maintains preventative maintenance programs for major systems equipment in the hospital. Interviews and evaluates new staff, identifies training needs and facilitates delivery of training, trains staff in procedures and usage of equipment, ensures appropriate employee safety training and compliance is completed and maintains and prepares records, reports and files. Is on-call for MRHC.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in general building maintenance or trade skills, and 1-year supervisory or lead work experience is required. Experience specific to medical device reprocessing is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Leadership skills and professional ability to carry out job duties and functional responsibilities. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and other structural systems.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Member of at least one of the following professional organizations: WHEA, ASHRAE, or ASHE, preferred.
