Ride Operator – Traders Village Houston (WEEKEND ONLY)
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 AM – Close
Job Overview:
Provide guests especially children with a safe and enjoyable amusement ride experience. This role requires attention to detail, patience, and excellent customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain ride area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
- Follow all ride policies and procedures while operating the ride.
- Stay alert and aware of safety regulations at all times.
- Collect ride tickets and load guests safely, securing all straps, belts, and latches.
- Monitor the ride and guests while the ride is in motion.
- Assist guests off the ride once it comes to a complete stop.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- No prior experience necessary — training provided.
- Must complete a two-week ride-training program and pass the written test.
- Must be available to work every weekend .
- Ability to lift and push a minimum of 35 lbs .
- Must be patient with children.
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and work in both heat and cold.
