RN Supervisor (Days) | Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital (2125)

Job Purpose:
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for consumers with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities.
- Must have a functional knowledge of the Baker and Marchman Acts.
- Administers and transcribe medications as ordered by the physician
- Advises Nurse Administrator(s) in matters of concern to nursing care and consumer needs.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards in mental health
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Address consumer and family concerns and facilitate communication.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
- Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of Three (3) years nursing management experience in a mental health facility
- Minimum of One (1) year in a supervisory position required.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide nursing staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficient in clinical assessment and critical thinking to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer proficiency.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
