About the Opportunity

As part of the People Experience Team within the People Program, the Graduate, People Experience will contribute to initiatives that help create a great employee experience and build capability across the City of Adelaide. You’ll work alongside experienced people professionals and gain exposure to a broad range of projects that influence how people learn, grow and experience work.

From learning and development and leadership capability to organisational culture, employee, engagementcommunications and people systems, you’ll have the opportunity to turn research and insights into practical initiatives. You’ll contribute to projects that support employees across the organisation while developing your own skills in research, project management and delivery, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Graduated within approximately the last two years or are expecting to graduate within approximately the next 6 months in Organisational Development, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or Human Resource Management.

- Skills and knowledge in conducting research to inform best practice and evidence-based approaches.

- Ability to provide welcoming, responsive and respectful customer service to colleagues and community members, with a commitment to continuous learning, professional development and applying feedback.

- Ability to take ownership and accountability for deliverables.

- Skilled in communication and being able to present effectively both orally and written.

- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.

- Mentorship: You'll be partnered with a City of Adelaide leader who will provide guidance and support throughout your first year.

- Development: Approximately 40 hours of professional development over the graduate program, including participation in the City Leaders program and a collaborative group project with other graduates.

- Regular check-ins: You’ll have regular 1:1 conversation with your leader to ensure ongoing support, goal setting, wellbeing checks and guidance.

- Hone your skills: Opportunities to develop a broad range of transferable skills relevant to various government roles federal, state and local.

- Networking opportunities: within the City Council and the broader government sector.
