• Fixed Term, Part Time Role – 72 hours per fortnight

About the team
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, connecting the generosity of the community with world-leading cancer research, treatment and care. Fundraising plays a critical role in accelerating the search for cancer cures, enabling researchers and clinicians to pursue innovative discoveries that improve outcomes for people affected by cancer.
Within the Foundation, the Community and Events Fundraising team delivers a diverse portfolio of fundraising initiatives that inspire individuals, community groups and corporate partners to support Peter Mac's mission. Through flagship participation events such as the Melbourne Marathon, Run Melbourne, Great Ocean & Otway Classic and Brighton Beach Marathon, the team creates meaningful opportunities for supporters to make a lasting impact while helping to advance life-saving cancer research.
About the role
This role is responsible for growing community and event fundraising income through the development of meaningful supporter relationships and engaging fundraising experiences. Working across a portfolio of community, peer-to-peer and corporate fundraising activities, you will help supporters achieve their fundraising goals while ensuring an exceptional experience that fosters long-term engagement with Peter Mac. Your work will directly contribute to funding life-saving cancer research, treatment and patient care.
A regular day will see you:
• Building and nurturing relationships with community fundraisers, donors, event participants and corporate supporters.
• Coordinating fundraising campaigns, community activities and key fundraising events to maximise participation and revenue outcomes.
• Delivering tailored stewardship and engagement activities to support supporter retention and growth.
• Monitoring fundraising performance, maintaining accurate database records and providing insights to support future fundraising success.

You'll bring with you:
• Demonstrated experience coordinating fundraising, community engagement, events or partnership programs within the not-for-profit, health or corporate sectors.
• Proven ability to manage and grow relationships with donors, fundraisers, sponsors, volunteers or community stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
• Experience analysing performance data and using insights to drive engagement and fundraising outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with fundraising CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge will be highly regarded.

Position Summary
To maximize income and long-term net returns derived from a portfolio of Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation events, community fundraising activities, and corporate engagement.
The role will implement a range of cultivation and stewardship engagement activities to maximise peer to peer participant and donation levels to optimise revenue generated through community and event-based fundraising.
This role will play a key role in inspiring individuals to participate in community fundraising events to make a significant impact on the search for cancer cures.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in initiating, developing and coordinating successful events of varying scale in the corporate and/or not-for-profit sector
- Experience in coordinating, cultivating and developing a portfolio of fundraisers, corporate supporters and prospects, and servicing donor/sponsor commitments
- Experience working with and supporting committees and volunteers
- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

1.Support the Community and Events Fundraising program in maximising participant engagement and net income from community fundraising, peer to peer fundraising events and activities.
Increase supporter event and third-party fundraising volumes and revenue by identifying, cultivating and developing a sustainable portfolio of fundraisers and prospects
Coordinate and develop Peter Macs engagement with corporate supporters, including, but not limited to, corporate participation in events, workplace giving, and facilitating agreed fundraising activities with corporate supporters

2.Contribute to the Foundations fundraising goals through the development, facilitation and day to day coordination of quality fundraising events: Including but not exclusive to Unite to Fight Cancer and the Tour de Cure Peter Mac Ride
Under the direction of the Community and Events Fundraising Manager, proactively support major fundraising events (whether delivering the events in-house, or managing external suppliers) to meet agreed sustainable event deliverables, participation targets and net returns

3.Increase and grow supporter event and third-party fundraising net revenue by identifying, cultivating and developing a sustainable portfolio of fundraisers and prospects.
