Location: Huntersville, NC
Compensation: $25-$35.hr depending on experience
The Role
Our client, a fast-growing R&D and manufacturing company in Huntersville, NC, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician . This versatile role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and assembling propane-powered engines, fuel systems, and industrial floor-care and battery-powered machinery.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot, repair, and test propane combustion engines, fuel systems, 12V/24V DC electrical systems, and industrial floor-care/construction equipment.
Conduct engine testing on dynamometers and calibrate fuel system configurations.
Rework products according to engineering specifications and perform root-cause failure analysis on returned equipment.
Support assembly and production by building components, performing quality control inspections, and managing warehouse tasks.
Collaborate with engineering teams to review new product samples, analyze technical drawings, and suggest design and process improvements.
Maintain clear documentation, complete quality control checks, and assist with customer-facing technical support as needed.
What You Will Bring
4+ years of hands-on mechanical repair and maintenance experience, preferably involving internal combustion engines or automotive systems.
Strong diagnostic experience with 12V and 24V DC electrical systems and components.
Hands-on experience in quality control, product assembly, and custom fabrication.
Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering instructions.
Proficiency with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
Clean, valid driver's license required; supervisory experience and basic computer skills are a plus.
