About the role
As a Class 2 Truck Driver and Traffic Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe movement of road users and workers across a range of transport and maintenance projects. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning traffic management, truck operation, site set-up, labouring duties and traffic control activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating Class 2 vehicles and supporting traffic management activities
Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management systems
Managing traffic flow and ensuring public and crew safety
Completing site set-up and pack-down activities
Conducting routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Supporting emergency response and call-out work when required
Working closely with the wider crew to deliver safe and efficient operations
About you
Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licences
Traffic Management or Traffic Control Qualification
Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, transport or traffic management
A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
Great communication skills and a positive team attitude
The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
A willingness to get involved with physical labouring tasks as part of the team
