Hardware Engineer

Key Responsibilities

· Hardware Design & Development

o Design analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits for embedded and industrial applications.

o Develop schematics, select components, and create reusable hardware modules.

o Perform PCB layout (or work with layout engineers) ensuring signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.

o Develop power‑supply circuits, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces, and protection circuitry.

· Hardware Validation & Debugging

· Lead hardware bring‑up, testing, and troubleshooting using instruments such as:

o Oscilloscope

o Logic analyzer

o Multimeter

o Power analyzer

· Validate interfaces and subsystems (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, analog channels, etc.).

· Perform root-cause analysis for hardware failures and drive corrective actions.

· Documentation & Quality

· Prepare detailed engineering documents including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and release packets.

· Ensure hardware complies with internal standards, EMI/EMC guidelines, and safety best practices.

· Support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability).

· Cross‑Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with firmware, mechanical, validation, and manufacturing teams.

· Support prototype builds, vendor coordination, and pre‑production reviews.

· Provide hardware support during system integration and product lifecycle phases.

Work Experience

Technical Skills

· Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields .

· 5 to 7 years of experience in Hardware Design and development

Strong experience in:

o Analog/digital circuit design

o Power electronics (low/medium power)

o Sensor interfaces and protection circuits

Hands-on expertise with:

o PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, etc.)

o Hardware debugging instruments and methodologies

o Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, filtering, thermal considerations, and reliability principles.

Familiarity with communication protocols:

o SPI, I2C, UART

o CAN / LIN

o RS485 / Modbus

o Ethernet (optional)

Good to Have (Preferred)

· Experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) design and development .

· Exposure to HIL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) setups or production test equipment.

· Knowledge of PCB testability methods, fixture design, or test automation.

· Understanding of IoT/connected hardware ecosystems (optional).

· Experience working with embedded firmware teams and test engineers.
