Regional Security Advisor, Asia Pacific

Reports To: Director, Global Security & Investigations

Position Summary

Asia Pacific is one of the most dynamic and complex operating environments in the world, shaped by geopolitical tension, rapid economic change, natural hazards, and varied regulatory and cultural landscapes. As the senior security leader for the region, you will define and drive a security vision that protects our people, manufacturing footprint, assets, and reputation while enabling the company's growth ambitions.

You will be a strategic partner to regional and country leadership, shaping decisions on market entry, site selection, expansion, and risk appetite. You will translate global security strategy into a regional program that is mature, measurable, and adapted to each country. You will also build the organization, partnerships, and resilience that make the company a secure and credible presence across the region. This is a role for a leader who thinks at enterprise scale and can operate both at the boardroom table and on the plant floor.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Strategic Vision & Enterprise Risk Leadership

- Defining and owning a multi-year Asia Pacific security strategy and roadmap, aligned to global priorities and integrated with regional business plans
- Anticipating geopolitical, economic, criminal, civil unrest, terrorism, and climate-related risks, and translating them into clear strategic guidance and scenario planning for senior leadership
- Leading regional risk assessments and turning the findings into prioritized, risk-based investment decisions for people, travelers, facilities, and assets
- Advising on the security implications of major business decisions, including market entry, acquisitions, divestitures, site selection, and supply chain footprint
- Contributing regional insight and thought leadership to the global security strategy, helping shape enterprise policy, standards, and investment priorities

Resilience, Crisis & Incident Leadership

- Owning regional crisis management, business continuity, and emergency preparedness, including governance, exercises, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Serving as the senior security lead during significant incidents, guiding executive decision-making, coordinating cross-functional response, and escalating to the Director, Global Security & Investigations
- Ensuring lessons from incidents and after-action reviews become lasting improvements to the program
- Overseeing sensitive investigations, the travel security risk program, and executive protection, with appropriate discretion and independence

Program Ownership & Organizational Capability

- Owning the regional implementation of global security policies and standards, defining metrics that demonstrate effectiveness, maturity, and value
- Partnering with the Global Security Operations Support Team to drive enterprise-wide standardization and technology-enabled solutions
- Building and leading the regional security organization as the program matures, including setting direction, developing talent, and providing oversight for those responsible for security at manufacturing plants and other facilities
- Managing regional security budgets, vendors, and service providers to deliver strong outcomes and value

Executive Influence & Ecosystem Leadership

- Serving as the principal security advisor to regional, country, and facility leadership, earning trust as a strategic partner rather than a control function
- Partnering with HR, Legal, and Compliance & Ethics to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary guidance on complex, high-stakes matters
- Building and leading a network of relationships with host-country government agencies, law enforcement, industry bodies, and the multinational public/private security community
- Representing the company as a credible, well-connected voice on security across Asia Pacific

What You Bring

- 15+ years of progressive security management experience, preferably in Asia Pacific, including leadership of regional or multi-country programs
- Demonstrated responsibility for security in an environment outside your home country or country of primary residence (required)
- Experience in a large multinational company or an equivalent public/government sector (required)
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior executives, and to lead and inspire teams without relying on formal authority
- Strong strategic and geopolitical acumen, with the ability to turn complex risk into clear business decisions
- Experience building or maturing a security function, including talent, governance, and metrics
- Manufacturing sector experience (preferred)
- CPP, PSP, PSI, or equivalent certification (a plus)
