Regional Field Operations Manager, Flagship Funds North America

Team
The Regional Field Operations Manager will work closely with site teams, third-party O&M providers, OEM service providers and internal asset management, engineering and commercial stakeholders. The role represents the owner in the field and helps ensure consistent, safe and high-performing operations across multiple sites within the assigned region.

Role

The Regional Field Operations Manager serves as the owner’s primary field operations representative across multiple operating sites. The role is responsible for supporting safe, reliable, compliant and high-performing operations by overseeing O&M providers, coordinating issue resolution, standardizing owner expectations and improving contractor and asset performance across the regional portfolio.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

- Manage and oversee O&M contractors and site operations across multiple assets, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, owner expectations, safety standards and consistent operating practices.
- Oversee daily operational tasks and resolve issues, including outages, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and major repairs, while serving as a technical resource for operational and performance concerns.
- Monitor contractor and plant performance through KPIs such as availability, responsiveness, maintenance quality, downtime and lost energy, using proactive monitoring, performance analysis and root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Improve asset reliability by reducing recurring failures, tracking corrective actions, applying lessons learned across the portfolio and supporting reliability and performance-optimization initiatives.
- Build productive relationships with site teams, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders; mentor on-site personnel and act as the primary liaison to ensure clear ownership, accountability and timely escalation of material issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory and operational requirements, and provide clear reporting on plant performance, risks, outages and key actions across the regional portfolio.

You

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in power generation, renewable energy operations, field operations, asset management, engineering or O&M contractor management, together with experience managing multiple operating sites, vendors and priorities. You bring a solid understanding of plant operations, maintenance practices, outage management, contractor oversight and performance management, and have experience analyzing availability, lost energy, downtime and outage trends. Experience with utility-scale wind, solar or battery energy storage systems is highly relevant.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, energy management or a related field is preferred, although equivalent field experience may be considered. Additional experience managing third-party O&M or OEM service providers, and technical exposure to wind turbines, solar inverters, BESS, substations, SCADA, high-voltage equipment or balance-of-plant systems, is advantageous. Familiarity with NERC, ISO/RTO, interconnection, environmental or regulatory compliance requirements, CMMS and performance-monitoring platforms, root cause analysis and reliability-improvement programs is also valued. A master’s degree or an engineering, technical, military or field-operations background is an advantage. Regular travel to operating sites within the assigned region is required.

- Highly organized with a disciplined approach to execution, and able to communicate performance, risks, and required next steps clearly and consistently
