Software QA Engineer

Role: QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, API, UI, and Database testing.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium Python /Selenium Java / Playwright.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
- Execute API testing and validation using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Review requirements, test cases, and test artifacts to ensure quality coverage.
- Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution verification.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams.
- Create and maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to automation framework enhancements and migration initiatives.

Selenium

- Intermediate proficiency
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of locators, waits, synchronization, and reporting mechanisms

Python

- Intermediate proficiency
- Ability to write reusable automation scripts and framework components

SQL

- Intermediate proficiency
- Ability to create complex queries, perform joins, and validate backend data

API Testing

- Mandatory
- Experience validating REST APIs
- Knowledge of request/response validation, authentication, and data verification

UI Testing

- Mandatory
- Experience validating web applications through automation and manual testing

Database Testing

- Mandatory
- Hands-on experience performing data validation and reconciliation activities

Good-to-Have Skills

- Playwright automation experience
- Agile/Scrum team experience
- Exposure to automation framework migration initiatives
- CI/CD exposure (not mandatory)

Domain Experience Preferred

Candidates with experience in the following domains will be preferred:

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should:

- Have a minimum of 4 years of QA experience.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work independently and within Agile teams.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Be comfortable reviewing requirements, preparing test strategies, and conducting peer reviews.
