Test Analyst – Technology Consulting (German Projects) (m/f)

Job Description & Summary

Our Slovak team, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. We bring together strong German language capabilities, consulting skills, and understanding of banking, insurance and other FS domains.

We have been fully & seamlessly integrated with PwC Germany but you will also be part of the Czech technology consulting team and will have the opportunity to be involved in activities in both countries.

As a Test Analyst, you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms in Germany.

What you would do:

- Design and execute test cases, including manual and automated testing

- Support the creation of test plans, test concepts, and test reports

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts

- Collaborate with project teams on medium-to-large-scale implementation projects

- Manage defect tracking and test reporting

- Communicate directly with clients in a client-facing role

- Ideally lead smaller teams and work effectively in virtual teams

- Operate within ITIL environments

Testing a Core Banking Platform Transformation - You support the testing of a new core banking platform replacing legacy systems. Working closely with business users, developers, and project teams, you design and execute test cases, validate end-to-end business processes, document defects, and help ensure that critical banking functions operate correctly before go-live. Through structured testing and defect tracking, you contribute to a smooth migration and high-quality system rollout.

Role Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, or a related field

- Experience from banking, insurance, or financial services domain is a huge plus

- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, including experience in system implementation or transformation projects.

- Proficiency in designing, executing, and documenting test cases

- Defect management and test reporting experience

- Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment

- Knowledge of SAP S4HANA transformation, core system transformation, cloud migration or comparable enterprise transformation environments is a strong advantage

- Familiarity with testing tools such as Azure Test Plans, Micro Focus ALM, Xray, Selenium, UI Path, SoapUI, Tricentis Tosca, Confluence, or similar

- Basic scripting or test automation skills using Java, Gherkin, C#, Python, Gherkin/BDD frameworks or comparable languages

- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- ISTQB or comparable certifications are a plus

- Strong learning mindset and willingness to continuously develop professional and consulting skills.

Additional Information:

Salary: starting from 2 000 EUR/month

(The stated salary represents the minimum for this position. Final compensation is determined individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority, and overall profile. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus linked to individual results and the company’s success.)
