About the role

Our experienced Financial Services Tax team of 170 professionals, led by our 11 Partners, are experts in their respective fields, specialising in the dynamic and diverse world of Financial Services. The group works across the core areas of Asset & Wealth Management, Aviation Finance and the Core Corporate Group (servicing large Banking and Insurance clients) and provides tax compliance and advisory services to clients in areas such as investment fund strategies, aviation finance, treasury operations, insurance and real estate. We also have a dedicated team working on the opportunities in the Fintech sector, where there has been significant growth in recent years. We are a team that embraces change and are focused on using technology-based solutions to deliver an excellent client service.

Our role is to bring tax solutions for our clients both locally and internationally, to fit with their commercial aims. Our clients include many of the leading domestic and multinational financial institutions. Our regular interactions with both Irish Revenue and the Department of Finance, as well as our connections with various industry bodies and the OECD working groups, enable us to be at the forefront of an ever changing and dynamic tax environment.

Ireland's Financial Services sector is one of the most dynamic in Europe, home to a critical mass of regulated fund managers, payment institutions, fintech firms, international banks and insurance undertakings. Ireland is also the undisputed global leader in aviation finance and aircraft leasing, with 14 of the world's top 15 lessors based here and Irish-based firms managing approximately 60% of the global leased fleet. The country's competitive corporate tax regime, extensive double tax treaty network, and well-regarded regulatory environment continue to attract global financial institutions seeking a European base. Our team in Ireland is also at the forefront of industry innovation, advising on emerging themes such as the tokenisation of assets and funds, digital banking, and sustainable finance.

You will work with our clients across the full spectrum of Financial Services, providing advice on Irish and cross-border tax structuring, identifying tax risks and advising on regulatory-driven tax chang. You will also consider emerging industry trends such as tokenisation, ESG-related tax incentives, and the evolving international tax landscape including Pillar Two.

What you will do:

As a Manager in FS Tax, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex tax and broader business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Managing a varied client portfolio, including delivering on existing client engagements and participating in a variety of consultancy and tax planning projects.the for

- Providing advice to clients on Irish and cross-borded tax matters, linked to economic, business and technical reality in order to help them to grow in the market.

- Keeping abreast of OECD and EU Tax developments and bringing these to our clients in a meaningful way for their business.

- Building your professional network and managing client relationships to identify business opportunities with innovative companies.

- Playing an active role in training and coaching our junior staff members, promoting a learning culture within the team.

- Embracing the digital evolution in our business and at clients, being motivated to explore these changes and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.

- Operating and collaborating effectively with a mindset that transcends geographic and cultural boundaries.

- Motivating your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.

Who we are looking for

- At least 4+ years' experience in Tax consulting.

- AITI/CTA Qualified with a strong academic record.

- Commercial awareness with an ability to develop business opportunities in order to generate growth within FS and the firm.

- Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality and diverse relationships.

- Creative - develop new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

- Enthusiastic team player and manager with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.

- Leadership – demonstrate strong commitment and experience to developing yourself, your team members, your clients and your business.
