As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work in small, empowered product teams developing and supporting high-impact platforms and products used by colleagues and customers globally, with a strong focus on quality, accessibility, and iterative delivery.
What you’ll do
- Work as part of a product team of 4 to 6 engineers with a dedicated Product Owner, sometimes collaborating across locations.
- Turn business requirements into well-defined user stories and deliver them iteratively all the way to production.
- Own product support as part of the role, following the principle the team builds it, the team supports it.
- Identify and reduce technical debt, balancing improvements with delivery of new functionality.
- Design solutions for new items, ensuring alignment with technology guidelines and constraints.
- Pair with other engineers to improve design quality, share knowledge, and accelerate delivery.
- Contribute to a DevOps and Agile way of working, helping the team improve how it builds, tests, releases, and supports software.
- Experiment, learn quickly, and adapt approaches when needed, treating controlled failure as an opportunity to learn.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Willingness to learn and work with multiple programming languages.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience with at least one programming language.
- Experience with Java and JavaScript, including client-side and server-side development, is strongly aligned with the team’s current stack.
- Working knowledge of Unix environments.
- Solid understanding of databases from a consumer perspective, including how applications interact with data stores.
- Knowledge of HTTP APIs, such as RESTful APIs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in English.
- A flexible, curious mindset with a practical approach to trying new ideas and discarding experiments that don’t work.
What we offer
The pay range for this role is 17483,33 PLN - 26225 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
