Job Summary: Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.

Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.

Performs individual aspects of mechanical/plumbing engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- HVAC – Split system/Package Heat Pumps, Chilled Water/Hot Water

Hydronics, Steam/Condensate, Constant volume and variable volume air

distribution systems.

- Plumbing – Medical gas systems, Hot and cold water/waste and vent systems, Compressed air systems.

- Fire Protection – Performance drawings and specification for wet pipe and dry pipe systems.

Independent problem-solving, decision-making ability, and application of engineering principles.

Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.

Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.

Performs field work to document existing conditions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Educational Background: Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree

- Certifications/Registrations: Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred

- Other Skills / Abilities:

- Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/ HVAC Load Analysis Program (HAP or TRACE)

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

- Excellent customer service capabilities.

- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines.

- Ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work.

- Must have a valid drivers license.

- Able to work in the United States.

- Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.

- Work independently and in a team environment

Location : Greenville, SC

Travel : To project sites and to meet with clients
