The Opportunity
We're looking for a Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Abu Dhabi team.
In this role, you'll deliver regulatory, compliance and risk advisory services to a portfolio of clients, helping them meet their regulatory obligations and strengthen their governance frameworks. You may also act as an outsourced Compliance Officer and/or Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), providing expert guidance and oversight in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing compliance, governance and risk advisory services to clients
- Acting as outsourced Compliance Officer and/or MLRO where required
- Developing and implementing compliance, risk and AML frameworks, policies and procedures
- Conducting compliance reviews, risk assessments and monitoring activities
- Supporting clients with licence applications, regulatory approvals and market entry requirements
- Building strong relationships with clients, regulators and professional intermediaries
- Delivering compliance and AML training to client organisations
- Monitoring regulatory developments and advising clients on emerging requirements
- Supporting business development activities and contributing to client proposals
- Managing regulatory enquiries, reporting requirements and ad hoc advisory projects
What You'll Bring
We're interested in hearing from individuals who can demonstrate:
Essential
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance and AML requirements within well-regulated financial services environments
- Practical experience in compliance, risk management or anti-money laundering roles
- Experience developing and implementing compliance, risk and governance frameworks
- Professional qualification in Compliance or AML (such as ICA, ACAMS or equivalent)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Experience within funds, investment structures or broader financial services sectors
- Exposure to licensing applications and regulatory approval processes
- Familiarity with regulatory authorities across international financial centres
- Experience acting as a Compliance Officer, MLRO or in a similar controlled function
