We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our national Advisory practice from the Los Angeles Bundy office. This hybrid role provides comprehensive HR support to staff and Partners across multiple service lines. The Human Resources Generalist will independently manage core HR processes, advise employees and leaders on routine matters, and partner with the HR Manager or Director on complex employee relations, talent, and organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

- HR Operations & Administration

Manage employee data and employment changes in the HRIS, ensuring timely and accurate records.

- Prepare and analyze reports on headcount, turnover, staffing trends, and other HR metrics to support business decisions.

- Coordinate employee updates with payroll, benefits, resource management, talent acquisition, and HR Business Partners.

- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and employee service delivery.

- Onboarding & Offboarding

Own the employee onboarding and offboarding processes for assigned groups, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience.

- Facilitate new hire orientation and guide employees and managers through integration activities and available firm resources.

- Partner with talent acquisition, corporate IT, payroll, benefits, and business stakeholders to ensure new hire readiness and compliance.

- Conduct exit meetings, identify trends, and share relevant feedback with HR leadership.

- Recruitment & Talent Support

Partner with business leaders and talent acquisition to coordinate requisitions, clarify hiring needs, and support recruiting efforts.

- Support local campus recruiting initiatives, including events, volunteer coordination, candidate selection, and follow-up activities.

- Conduct HR interviews with experienced hire candidates and provide feedback to hiring teams.

- Support internal mobility, promotions, transfers, and other talent processes for assigned groups.

- Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, performance, workplace concerns, and available resources.

- Address routine employee relations matters independently and partner with the HR Manager or Director on complex or sensitive matters.

- Support fact-finding, documentation, and follow-up related to employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality and consistency.

- Advise managers on performance management, coaching, corrective action, and People and Career Leader processes.

- Develop and support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and culture initiatives.

- Coordinate with Learning & Development to connect employees and leaders with training and career development resources.

- Compliance, Policy & HR Initiatives

Apply federal, state, and local employment requirements and firm policies consistently across assigned employee groups.

- Support compliance reviews, audits, policy updates, and required documentation.

- Communicate HR policies and process changes to employees and managers and provide practical guidance on implementation.

- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all firm and employment matters.

- Lead or contribute to HR projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in human resources, business, or a related field.

- 4 - 6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment.

- Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple HR processes and advising employees and managers.

- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.

- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, onboarding, offboarding, and talent processes.

- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, consultation, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong sense of urgency and ability to follow through on commitments with limited oversight.

- Collaborative, service-focused approach and ability to build effective relationships across levels and functions.

- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office tools; experience preparing and interpreting HR reports.

- HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is preferred.

- Ability to travel up to 20% across the CA offices, including LA Bundy and Woodland Hills.
