We are seeking a Manager – Real Property Tax, State and Local Tax Services , to join our State and Local Tax Services team.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to

- Review real property tax assessments for reduction opportunities, attending hearings on behalf of clients, and tracking related follow-ups with the appropriate jurisdictions.

- Review and analyze clients real estate tax assessments for reduction opportunities.

- Clearly communicate real property tax review procedures to engagement teams.

- Understand the different capabilities of SALT team members and monitor as well as reviewing their work product to provide feedback on performance during and after the engagement process.

- Coach, motivate, and develop team members.

- Communicate extensively with clients to drive expectations and report on the status of ongoing projects.

- Manage profitability of projects.

- Identify and communicate real property tax matters, as well as state & local tax matters to the SALT Directors.

- Subscribe to and actively read industry publications, then share relevant information (as applicable).

- Provide exceptional service to clients, always serving as a positive brand ambassador.

- Maintain a network of industry contacts and establish new long-term relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must:

- Have bachelor's and/or masters degree in accounting, finance, business or another relevant field.

- Have a minimum of 5+ years of current or recent experience in sales and use tax compliance.

- Have experience leading teams and mentoring associates, as well as a successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

- Understand sales and use tax rules and regulations impacting companies.

- Have project management experience including balancing workflow, activity scheduling, problem solving facilitation, prioritizing multiple complex tasks, and meeting deadlines.

- Possess strong communication skills with experience conveying complex SALT-related information and associated business impacts to non-technical audiences.

- Possess unwavering integrity and ethics.

- Have experience interacting with clients, establishing credibility, trust and healthy relationships.

- Demonstrate examples of innovative thinking and problem solving.

- Be willing and able to travel to client sites across the country, as dictated by business need (possibly up to 25%).

- Have a CPA or CMI or be a CPA or CMI candidate (preferred).
