Requirements

As our BU Financial Performance Manager APAC, you will serve as the finance leader for Japan and the wider APAC region, acting as a trusted business partner to both local leadership and global stakeholders.

This is a highly autonomous role for someone who enjoys operating across the full spectrum of finance, from strategic planning and performance analysis to compliance, governance, and process improvement. You will play a key role in helping Exotec scale its operations across APAC while ensuring strong financial performance and alignment with global standards.

Working closely with local teams, external partners, and our global Finance organization, you will help shape how finance supports the next phase of growth in the region.

What You'll Do

- Lead all finance activities across Japan and APAC, acting as a strategic partner to regional and global stakeholders. • Drive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long-term business planning.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Partner with business leaders to support decision-making and improve financial performance across functions.
- Lead monthly closing activities and oversee cash flow, working capital, cost control, and financial risk management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, accounting firms, tax authorities, and other external partners.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and scalable ways of working, leveraging external providers where appropriate.
- Foster strong collaboration between local and global teams, helping align Japanese business requirements with Exotec's global framework.

What We're Looking For

- Experienced Finance leader with a strong background in international companies operating in Japan.
- Broad finance expertise across FP&A, controlling, accounting, compliance, treasury, and business partnering.
- Fluent Japanese is required; native Japanese is a strong plus.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across cultures and functions.
- Comfortable operating as a stand-alone finance leader with a hands-on, versatile mindset.
- Pragmatic and business-oriented, with a focus on efficiency, automation, and profitability.
- Experience leading change and supporting organizational transformation is highly desirable.
- Able to balance local business needs with global processes and ways of working.
- Fluent English (C1+) and Japanese (N2+, preferrable N1)
