About the Role:

We are looking for Senior Fullstack Developers with strong test automation skills to join a development team working on a modern financial trading platform.

You will play a key role in developing and rebuilding solutions for processing external mutual fund orders across multiple Nordic markets. The role combines hands-on software development with a strong focus on automated testing and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

You will work with modern technologies including Java 21, Spring Boot, microservices, Microsoft SQL, REST APIs, Kafka and React.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services, integrations and frontend functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable and testable code using sound object-oriented design principles and patterns.
- Develop and maintain automated tests covering functional, regression, integration, API and UI scenarios.
- Use tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber and other relevant testing technologies.
- Validate REST APIs, Kafka-based event flows and database integrity as part of feature development.
- Contribute to reusable test automation frameworks, test data preparation and reliable test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when automation is not feasible or cost-effective.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects and work closely with developers, DevOps, Product Management and other stakeholders.
- Help improve development, testing and delivery processes by identifying opportunities for automation.
- Contribute to a strong quality culture throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

- Strong professional experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed backend systems.
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs, Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL or other relational databases.
- Experience writing unit, integration and acceptance tests using JUnit and Cucumber.
- Proven ability to design maintainable automated tests alongside production code.
- Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured or similar.
- Experience testing asynchronous flows and validating data across services, messages and databases.
- Working knowledge of UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium or similar.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, including integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines.
- Experience developing or improving reusable test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications.
- Ability to design and execute structured manual and exploratory tests when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-focused mindset.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience with React and frontend development.
- Experience with Hibernate or similar persistence frameworks.
- Knowledge of mutual funds, investment funds or financial services.
- Experience with cross-border payments or financial transaction processing.
- Experience working collaboratively across Development, Test, DevOps and Product Management.
- Adaptability, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and automation.
